The Gaerne Road Race GP1 Perforated Boots floating system is made of carbon composite, allows the foot to move naturally, and prevents ankle twisting without compromising flexibility.  At the back of the boot, and fixed at two points, it runs inside two slots that limit movement in both directions preventing hyperextension or compression.  External polyurethane protectors minimize the impact of a fall and facilitate sliding

• Shock absorbing heel cup is made of a non-deformable polyurethane heel cup protected by a replaceable low-friction slider
• The GP-1 features a decompression zone - anti-shock heel features an internal comfort-enhancing pad located between the insole and sole
• Adjustable calf closure system - replaceable micrometric carbon-look buckle enables a custom fit around the calf area
• Slider - wear-resistant magnesium toe slider allows free foot movement; attachment points are well away from the normal abrasion areas
• Front shin plate made of PU and anatomically shaped (easily replaceable via two screws) and replaceable nylon front slider
• Closure system is an internal zip protected by a rubber strip.  An elastic insert in the ankle area facilitates the closure of the boot
• Upper part is made of supple, comfortable and breathable Lorica.  Elasticized instep with polyurethan inserts ensure a snug fit, comfort and durability
• Gaiter - air-vented polyurethane collar is resistant to heat and fits calf perfectly
• Grip guard - two rubber inserts (inner calf and heel) provide Gaerne GP1 boot additional grip and protect the leg from engine/exhaust heat
• Sole - variable density, oil- and wear- resistant rubber sole with a unique design and excellent grip
• Inner sole - the GP1 Road Race Air includes a removable, washable and anatomically designed foot-bed ensures even weight distribution and provides full support to all parts of foot; toe area is perforated for improved air flow
• Shifter protection - anatomically shaped polyurethan protector provides maximum feel when shifting and gives additional toe protection
• Inner lining - antibacterial, breathable, pre-shaped for comfort and fit at shin, ankle and heel
