The Patented technology e-Tint uses in its LCD MX - 8 visor inserts make photochromatic or transition face shields obsolete.  E-Tint’s MX-8 helmet face shield inserts change tint in a mere 0.05 seconds and are available with manual only or automatic settings. The AX-9 automatic face shield insert can also be operated either in auto or manual modes.

Lighting conditions can change quickly – but not as fast as the e-Tint technology used in the MX-8 Manual visor insert. Changes from Light to dark & Dark to light instantly (0.05 seconds).  Transition and photochromatic visors or inserts are now old technology. Your helmet face shield will change instantly from clear to tinted with the quick touch of a button when using the MX-8 model . Also, the AX-9 auto allows for your own customer light activation levels if you so desire.

Enjoy instant tint in the blink of an eye with the MX - 8. A small electronics module mounts to the outside of your face shield and with the quick touch of a button, your visor will instantly change tint.

This is a face shield insert designed to easily adhere to the inside of your present helmet visor. A template is supplied to assure you stick it in the correct position the first time. There is also a great How-to video available demonstrating this super easy installation.


Both models include a fail safe mode if power is lost – they default to clear.  Both units enjoy superior anti-fog properties and the units recharge via a USB port.
